This Privacy Policy explains how FaveWall (“FaveWall”, “we”, “us”), operated by [BerryPhase, Inc.], collects, uses, and protects personal information. It covers two groups of people: account holders (customers who sign up to collect testimonials) and testimonial submitters (people who leave a testimonial through an account holder’s collection link).
1. Information we collect
From account holders
- Name and email address you provide at sign-up.
- A securely hashed version of your password (we never store it in plain text).
- Billing information if you subscribe to a paid plan. Payments are processed by Stripe; we store only your plan status and Stripe identifiers, never your full card details.
From testimonial submitters
- The name, title/company, rating, and testimonial text you submit.
- An optional photo, if you upload one.
- An email address, if you provide it — this is shared only with the account holder and is not displayed publicly.
- A record that you consented to public display, and the time you did so.
Automatically
- A single essential cookie to keep account holders signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
- Your IP address is used transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
2. How we use information
- To provide the service: create accounts, store testimonials, and display the ones an account holder approves.
- To process subscription payments through Stripe.
- To prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
- To respond to support requests.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
- Contract — to provide the service you signed up for.
- Consent — testimonial submitters consent to the public display of their name, photo, and words.
- Legitimate interests — securing the service and preventing abuse.
4. How testimonials are displayed
A testimonial is only shown publicly after the account holder approves it. The submitter’s email address is never displayed. The account holder controls where their wall is embedded and is responsible for the testimonials they choose to display (see our Terms of Service).
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run FaveWall, under contract and only as needed:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Our hosting provider — to run the application and store data.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
6. Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Testimonials are kept until the account holder deletes them or their space. Deleting a space permanently removes its testimonials and uploaded photos.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Account holders can edit or delete their content directly. Testimonial submitters, and anyone wishing to exercise these rights, can contact us at privacy@favewall.com or ask the relevant account holder to remove a testimonial.
8. Children
FaveWall is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. International transfers
We may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers. [Confirm your hosting region and add specifics for your jurisdiction.]
